MAGICBIOMAT partners met in Padua on 21–22 January for the project’s first General Assembly, marking the start of a new phase of collaboration across the consortium.
Hosted by Università degli Studi di Padova, the meeting brought partners together for two days of focused discussion and planning.
Discussions focused on how AI-supported design can accelerate the development of biodegradable materials, with partners sharing progress, challenges, and priorities for the months ahead. The meeting also included hands-on laboratory visits, allowing participants to see research workflows and testing processes up close.
The project is working towards biodegradable solutions with built-in circularity, targeting agricultural mulching films and paper-based packaging that perform reliably and break down as intended in real environmental conditions.
Two days of exchange, alignment, and forward planning with many next steps already in motion.
